Haven't been here for several months, no particular reason, just hadn't had the urge for pizza I guess... Is that Un-American? I mean no pizza? Anyway, we were nearby on Durango and figured it was a reasonable stop for an early bird dinner. Truth be told I wasn't in the least bit hungry after sucking down a grande frappacino at Sbucks a half hour previously. Our favorite server was just clocking out (mama Lynn, the red haired queen of Metro) . She offered to stay, but after a long day it was probably better that she hightailed it out of there. She passed us off to Erik, pretty nice guy... Took our order (small dinner salad (NO onions) and a large Honolulu (their take on a Hawaiian). We knew we'd only have a piece each, but we always get a large so we can take some home. Erik brought the bread out and the salad shortly after. OF COURSE there were onions on it. (Not a huge deal, but my dining companion can't deal with the smell). Also noticed that several (more than a few pieces of lettuce were brown and mushy....) Pizza came, delivered by another guy, not on one of those raised dealies (basically he pizza took up the whole middle of the table) and no fresh plates were offered. Also , and maybe I'm just being picky or comparing service on previous visits... But there was no offer of red pepper flakes, parmasean cheese or oregano either. Ok the pizza was good, not burn the roof of your mouth hot, but good. (I think we usually get one of the other thicker crust pies) . I think what got them the fourth star today was the fact that when I asked for my usual military discount Erik reminded me the Wednesdsy-Thursday earlybird dine in discount was 50% off pies.(I seem to remember it was on takeout but I could be wrong) but anyway a $29.98 pie for half off was well worth it. Ok, done whining, the food (at least the pizza) was good.... Level of attentiveness not as wonderful as when mama Lynn takes care of us, but still well worth a visit for a pretty darn good pie.

Awesome Pizza place in Las Vegas! I know they have a few different locations, but my family and I always go to their Centennial restaurant. Service is always amazing, but if you can, as for Lynn. She is very funny and makes great suggestions. Really makes you feel like you are welcome. The pizza is always very hot and filling! This time around we ordered the Gotham pizza - which comes with multiple meats and veggies, as well as a pepperoni calzone. 1 large pizza usually fills up our family of 5. They do serve bread with the meal, as much as you can eat! The appetizer of garlic and nuclear (spicy) fries are the best before getting your pizza. They have plenty of TVs for the games and a great mixture of music. It seems they have a nice take out area as well, it looked like people were very easily getting their pizzas and leaving without issue. 10/10 recommend, this place never disappoints!

One of the best pizza spots in Vegas! My family and I have been eating here for years, and it's always delicious. Definitely old-school pizza place vibes. I can't recommend the garlic AND nuclear fries enough--they are both so tasy! The pizza is always hot and absolutely mouth-watering, honestly never had bad food here. Today's visit was one of the best we've ever had and it was largely thanks to our server, Lynn. She was so upbeat, funny, quick, and helpful. She really made this visit a 10! Between her and our fantastic meal, our day was MADE :)

The flagship of John and Sam's family of pizzerias since November of 2012, with an expansive floor-plan including room to experiment with new Dough, it was alongside six others that Metro Pizza on Sky Pointe was entered at noon on Saturday, Pizzaiolo Arena already hard at work baking Las Vegas' best Crust and Toppings. Dubbed "America's Neighborhood Pizzeria" since the early eighties, though past and present Metro is so much more, it was after choosing from a multitude of tables and booths that a server approached with Beverage options including Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks. Not overly busy just an hour after opening, though doing brisk take-out and delivery, lunch began first with Bread, two piping hot Loaves proving entirely irresistible before diving into a Tavern-style Pizza made by John Arena featuring Sausage, Brocollini and Buratta kissed by Citrus. Always happy to let John cook, and more so enthralled by his encyclopedic knowledge of Pizza, it was alongside signature Knots and Garlic Romano Fries that two Pies were served simultaneously, The Zamboni turning up Sausage & Peppers with Honey while "The Gotham" delivers Supreme styling complete with Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms and three types of Meat. Onward to a "Triple Play" of Sausage on crispy rectangles the cold-fermented 86th Street is defiantly light despite its thickness, and whether served with or without Toppings there remains no better Sicilian Pizza tasted anywhere in the world to this day. Testing two new Pizzas on a willing group of thirteen, first Brazil's Catapuri with thin slices of Zucchini contrasting bold Pepper Jam, a second Tavern-style crust supported Porchetta, Pistachios and reduced Balsamic before Metro's Cannoli completed the afternoon with filling still made daily by John's nonagenarian Father.
